Visual Wizard lets developers design on the running app
A visual canvas for editing and exploring React interfaces while keeping the working product in view.

A static mockup can drift away from the interface a developer eventually ships. Visual Wizard tries to shorten that gap by letting builders work visually with a running React interface. Its maker shared the idea in August 2026 and a follow-up on September 14.
Why the live app matters
Instead of treating a screenshot as the design surface, Visual Wizard places an interactive app in a canvas. Builders can inspect elements, try changes and compare variants while seeing how the interface behaves. The current site also describes a connection to coding agents through MCP, so visual choices can feed back into implementation.
This is aimed at a specific moment in a coding workflow: the product functions, but spacing, hierarchy or visual polish still need another pass. A live canvas is a different proposition from generating a whole app from a prompt.
The maker is using it on itself
The creator's September update said the core workflow was working and that they were using Visual Wizard to redesign Visual Wizard. That is a useful product milestone, though it is not evidence of broad adoption. The maker has not published a user count, revenue figure or measured productivity improvement in the cited updates.
