How to share your project on CoderHype

A useful project page helps someone answer three questions: What does this do? Is it for me? How can I try it? Use this guide to turn your work into a clear, original submission.

1. Start with a specific one-line pitch

Use your actual project name, then describe the main benefit and audience in the short pitch. “A command-line tool that finds unused images in React projects” says more than “The ultimate productivity revolution.” The pitch appears on the directory card, so make it understandable without extra context.

2. Tell the story behind the build

Explain the problem that led you to create the project. Describe the main workflow, what already works, and the decisions that make your approach different. Use your own words rather than copying a landing page or repeating keywords. A few focused paragraphs are usually more useful than a long list of vague features.

3. Be clear about availability

Say whether the project is a prototype, a beta, or a released product. Mention supported platforms, relevant requirements, and any limitations a new user should expect. If payment is required, explain that plainly. For open-source projects, include a repository link and the license.

4. Choose a category and a useful cover

Pick the category that best matches the main use case. An actual screenshot or a clear product image helps readers understand what they will find. Cover images are optional; JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported up to 3 MB. A 1200 × 750 image works well in the directory.

5. Give readers a next step

Link directly to the project website, repository, demo, or download page. Explain the feedback you would value: testing an onboarding flow, trying a particular feature, reporting bugs, or contributing to the code. Never put credentials or private access links in your submission.

What happens after submission?

Your project enters the review queue. It is not public until a moderator approves it. You can follow its status and edit pending submissions or drafts in your dashboard. Published projects can only be edited by a moderator. Review times are not guaranteed.
