Drywall Planner is a free set of browser-based drywall estimating tools for homeowners, DIYers and contractors.
Enter a room’s length, width and wall height (feet/inches or metric, rectangle or L-shape). You get sheet counts for 4×8, 4×9, 4×10 or 4×12 boards, plus joint compound, tape, screws and an optional cost estimate, with door, window and garage-door deductions and an adjustable waste allowance.
The Layout Planner hangs real sheets on each wall and the ceiling, cuts around the openings you place, reuses offcuts, and draws a diagram for every wall with seam and butt-joint counts. Other tools cover mud, screw, tape, corner bead, skim coat, texture, drywall weight, cost, and labor cost by US state (BLS wages). Guides cover garage Type X, bathrooms, vaulted ceilings and stairwells.
