SocialCrawl sells an interface to social-platform data. Its intended customers are developers who would otherwise maintain separate collection and parsing code for each source. The public site combines endpoint examples, a common response structure and integrations for AI agents. This is infrastructure for building applications, not just another dashboard for looking at a follower count.

A common schema is the useful part

The website demonstrates requests in Python, TypeScript and cURL, along with platform coverage and agent integration. Its current pricing presentation emphasizes credits rather than mandatory recurring subscriptions. That makes usage volume and endpoint costs more useful buying questions than the headline number of supported platforms.

For an application depending on this data, a real evaluation should check the exact fields, freshness, failure behavior and coverage it needs. A single API can reduce integration work, but it does not remove differences between platforms or guarantee access to every kind of information.

Three weeks to build, after earlier attempts failed

In an October 1, 2026 interview, cofounder Selene Lee described building SocialCrawl in roughly three weeks. The development account names Claude Code and Grok. Her partner is a technical cofounder, and they had previously built products and worked on client projects; this was not an engineering-free operation.

The account describes initial sales coming from founder communities where she had already participated, followed by Reddit, public posts and search. That is a useful explanation of the route to demand: the audience connection preceded some of the selling.

Why MRR alone misses this business

On October 30, 2026, TrustMRR showed $45,266 in trailing 30-day revenue but only $1,087 MRR, with $113,663 lifetime revenue. The Stripe-connected profile therefore describes a business whose receipts cannot be summarized by its recurring subscriptions alone.

Credit purchases and other non-recurring receipts matter to this model. The figures still do not reveal margins after data acquisition and infrastructure. Our screenshots document the public homepage, an API example and use-case sections; they do not imply that every advertised endpoint was tested.

Financial figures are dated observations and may change. Revenue is not profit. Product screenshots were captured from public pages; developer-provided demonstrations visible within those pages remain attributed to the product.
