Kart Chaos
A browser kart racer with Grand Prix, time trials and community tracks.
Kart Chaos puts a 3D kart-racing menu directly in the browser. There is no installer to download before reaching its race modes, and the interface offers keyboard, gamepad and touch controls.
More than a single quick race
The current menu lists a Grand Prix with two cups of five tracks, a configurable Versus Race, ghost-based Time Trials and a Daily Challenge. Online racing and community-made tracks are also available from the menu. These give the game several different reasons to return: completing a cup, improving a lap or trying a new course.
The developer describes drifting for boosts and using ramp tricks during races. The browser interface also includes progression, racing crews and leaderboards. We checked that the public game and its mode-selection interface load; this listing does not claim a full multiplayer or mobile compatibility test.
For players, the appeal is a kart racer that can be opened from a link. For its creator, the next challenge is making the handling, matchmaking and track variety strong enough to support repeat play.
