TrustMRR began with a simple question: can a startup’s revenue claim be connected to its payment provider instead of resting on a screenshot? The site now combines those profiles with a marketplace for buying and selling small digital businesses. The numbers make discovery easier, while the actual evaluation of a business remains a separate job.

A profile is evidence, not a valuation

The public interface lets visitors inspect revenue, recurring subscriptions, business descriptions and sale listings. Connected payment data is more informative than an isolated image of a dashboard. It still cannot tell a buyer everything about costs, ownership, customer concentration, churn or the quality of the underlying product.

The distinction is especially important for comparing credit-based tools with subscription businesses. Receipts over a rolling period and normalized MRR answer different questions. A buyer should understand the revenue model before interpreting a high number as predictable future income.

Six hours for the first board

In his September 1, 2026 account, Marc Lou described opening Cursor after a discussion about fake revenue screenshots. He says the first leaderboard took six hours and launched on October 30, 2025. Advertising was the first monetization mechanism.

He later added a marketplace after a founder asked about selling a startup. The account describes expanding into transaction support and charging a finder fee. This is a useful example of an initially small AI-assisted build changing direction in response to how people wanted to use it.

The marketplace also publishes its own numbers

On October 30, 2026, TrustMRR’s own profile showed $40,141 in trailing 30-day revenue, $22,485 MRR and $397,245 lifetime revenue. The profile states that it is connected through Stripe. Because the operator publishes these figures on its own platform, this is not an independent financial audit.

The screenshot set captures the public TrustMRR profile, including its revenue presentation and business details. It shows the site’s disclosure format without exposing any private payment credentials. These figures are dated observations, not a promise that a directory launched today would reproduce the same results.

Financial figures are dated observations and may change. Revenue is not profit. Product screenshots were captured from public pages; developer-provided demonstrations visible within those pages remain attributed to the product.
