WhipDesk lets developers check on AI agents from a phone
A mobile-first remote desktop for watching, testing and steering coding agents running on your own machine.

A coding agent can finish its task or stop for an approval while its owner is away from the desk. WhipDesk tackles that interruption by putting the whole development machine—not just an agent chat—inside a phone-friendly browser view. It is aimed at a maker who wants to inspect a diff, run the result and then send the next instruction without returning to a laptop.
Remote access shaped around the coding workflow
The machine-side agent and browser controller are published in the repository. Connections use WebRTC encryption, with a PIN check before screen frames are sent. Local-network access works without an account; connecting from farther away can use the project's hosted discovery service or a documented self-hosting setup. Its website lists support for several coding agents and for scheduled prompts.
The open-source boundary is worth spelling out. The AGPL-3.0 repository includes the client software and a self-hosting interface, but the operator's production edge deployment and relay-fleet configuration are not published. Someone who needs fully independent internet access should read those setup notes rather than assume every hosted component can be reproduced from the repo.
What has shipped so far
WhipDesk provides installers, documented source and release checksums; the public repository had 33 stars and five forks on October 6. Those show a real release and early developer interest, not a measured active-user base. The team has not published a verified number of remote sessions or paying customers in the sources reviewed.
