Riff project cover

Riff is a Chrome extension for drafting replies, posts and direct messages. It supports workflows on X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, with a panel for adapting drafts to the conversation and the writer’s intended point.

The developer says generation runs on the user’s computer through Chrome’s built-in Gemini Nano after an initial model download. There is no separate API key or Riff account required for the advertised free workflow. Availability depends on the browser, device and local-model support.

The interface includes controls for style and pitch, along with a freshness check intended to reduce repeated openings. A draft remains something the user should review before posting. The project links to its Chrome Web Store listing and publishes help pages describing supported sites, shortcuts and requirements.
